10,000 Steps – Week Three

Above are my measurements from last week and previous. The dates listed are Mondays when I took my measurements. Not sure why I chose Mondays, but there you go. It’s rather cool to see that my arms and legs went down even though my weight stayed the same. And I was getting my period last week, actually got it on Sunday, so the fact that my waist didn’t get bigger and my hips by only half an inch is mind blowing! I guess exercise really can work. I’ve never really tracked measurements, just my weight. So when the scale doesn’t move, normally I get kind of discouraged. Well, really, normally I’d kind of give up and say it’s not working what’s the point. So I’m really glad I decided to track my measurements this time around. Cause I can truly see a change in numbers there!

This week was the week between Christmas and New Year’s. And although I’m not Christian, I’m Jewish actually, and so wasn’t celebrating; I did take the week off from work, as did my mom and sister, and we sort of took a break from most of our everyday things. We caught some of the after Christmas sales and did some Christmas lights viewing, watched a bunch of Hallmark movies and some of our older Christmas movie favorites. You get the idea. My daily routine was so off, and with my period and all, I didn’t even try to work in an actual exercise video. And promised myself I wasn’t going to get angry with myself. I’d just do better the following week.

So this is going to be a shorter post since there’s not much to discuss. But I’m listing out my daily step count for the week, just to keep myself accountable. The days that are 7,000 steps or above are the days I went for a morning walk, about 3 miles total each day. And the others were more of Netflix and Chill days.

Here’s how it went:

Monday: Total step count for the day: 960

Tuesday: Total step count for the day: 7898

Wednesday: Total step count for the day: 8210

Thursday: Total step count for the day: 10012

Friday: Total step count for the day: 7932

Saturday: Total step count for the day: 1575

Sunday: Total step count for the day: 2374
